How can I commission an Old Master painting?
To commission your Old Master painting, you will first need to provide the following info:
What is the price of an Old Master painting?
The price of a painting is based on the complexity and size of the work.
The price is discussed before.
How long does it take to complete a painting?
The painting goes into a step-by-step process. I work in layers and wait for one layer to dry properly before applying another layer.
Some paintings might take longer. By knowing which painting I will be doing, I can provide a better answer.
Do you have paintings in stock to sell right away?
No, I only do commissioned work. All paintings are made to order!
Do you take on projects to paint more than one painting?
Yes, I do. Should you have more than one painting then we can discuss.
There are so many online shops selling copies, how does your service differ to others?
I have a more personal approach. I recreate paintings for art lovers who really want a high-quality piece of artwork. I do not do mass production recreating several paintings with wet-on-wet approach in a week. The process employed is longer.
I am seeing 'museum quality' published everywhere, what does that means?!
There is no such thing about 'museum quality', unless someone can provide the criteria on that. High quality painting which is as close to the original is not possible to recreate in a week or two weeks. Such painting can take months or years. Again, depending on the complexity of the work. This is arts & science!
Do you create custom paintings, such as portraits and other?
Yes, I do create custom paintings, such as portraits and more.
I have seen a painting from a living Artist, can you make me a copy?
NO! This is against the law. Buy the original from the artist. I do only copy-left painting.
What is the payment method?
Payment method is discussed during our conversation. You can pay to my PayPal account, or direct bank transfer.
How do you ship the work?
For international, the painting is shipped by DHL & FedEx.
Does the cost of shipping include in the price of the painting?
No, the shipping costs are not included in the price of the painting.
Do you frame the painting?
No! It is best to frame at your local frame shop.
Framing will make shipping more expensive as it is heavier and larger.
Do you roll the painting in a tube before shipping?
No! Some paintings cannot be rolled for the simple reason the structure of the painting will be damaged.
Do you use old canvas to paint on?
Depending on the availability of the canvas then, yes.
When I cannot find an appropriate old canvas, then I will age the canvas myself.
